Inside of Plants: Textures and Colors
As we are going into spring, the plants around us are going through many changes. I love getting close to nature and documenting the various textures and colors involved in nature. Showing beauty through a close up lens and having people really look at the world around them. I love texture rich plants, and getting them at angles that are not natural for people to see. Not many people get down into the mud to look at different species of mushrooms growing on trees.
This is something I have been interested in for a long time and would greatly look forward to keep doing. The plants change according to the weather, place and time of day, which makes the contrasts more interesting.
Alternate Topic: Lights and Shadows/ Reflections
I really enjoyed the project focusing on light and reflections. It made me realize that I always subconsciously document places at night that have a lot of yellow lights. They really add a sense of warmth to places as you walk around, exploring the night. I tried to capture that warmth in the first sample photo along with a contrast with many white lights in the second picture.
