Hi Kiersten, Good job getting some great photos for project 3 part 1. For the first three photos I really like the warm light that you created as I think it compliments the shadows very well. For photo 1, I think the silhouette could've been darker so as to make the subject more ambiguous. this is something I struggled with when taking silhouette pictures this week. I like the reflected light coming off the table though and how you used a lower f-stop to make the foreground blurry. I see that you had to use a very high ISO and even then the shutter speed was still down to 1/6 of a second so i find it impressive the subject isn't blurry at all it doesn't look like. for photo 2, I find this photo very creative I like the light you used and how you added the black and white dotted surface underneath. the dark and light combined makes for a very neat aesthetic. The angle of the reflection is also cool too. the brightness of the lantern light is a bit distracting I think so I don't know if something could've been done to make that slightly darker, maybe raise the shutter speed by a few clicks, but overall very cool photo. for photo 3, I like the effect that you created. it almost looks like a rubber duck on a beach in the sunset. The light and shadows at an angle work well together. for photo 4, I like the shadows that are cast on each post from the light shining on the post before it, pretty neat effect.
