  1. The photograph depicting light movement does a great job of capturing motion. The blurred colored lines move the eye around the subject and help show in which direction the motion of the lights is going in. The colors are also a great piece of the photograph. The complimentary colors of purple and yellow being shown in the two clusters of light give balance to the photo. The two clusters also share a sense of unity with the flecks of red seen in each. There is more balance shown in the composition by the shapes. The shapes being of similar size and stature create this balance. I believe the image could be improved if you were to move closer to the subject. This would allow the image to fill up the frame so there would not be a great amount of negative space left over. The flash image shows the subject’s slight motion. The cat is nicely highlighted by the flash, which allows for a better focus on the details of the cat and its various features. I think the colors throughout the scene form a cohesive rhythm throughout the scene. As the eye goes down the image there is a repetitive pattern of white and black shades. I think one way to the image could be improved is to make the background more in focus. This will allow the image to have more special depth. The framing of the photograph does a great job of filling the frame which allows the viewer’s eye to travel throughout the four corners of the image. Though photograph does show the movement of the cat, it is very subtle. I think by having a slightly longer exposure time would help show more of the movement of the cat.
